- Call to Order President Frank Lusch called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m.
- Minutes from March 16, 2017 Meeting – were accepted as prepared.
- Treasurer’s Report – as presented by Al Sordi was accepted unanimously. The checkbook balance as of 7/03/17 was $5,738.55. A copy of the report was distributed at the meeting.
- Old Business
- Yard Sale on Saturday, June 10, was a great success. Many vehicles and customers traveled throughout the community. The yard sale was publicized on Craig’s list and available on an app. Chairperson Trish Breidenbach hoped the yard sale could be repeated in 2018 about the same time of year.
- Zebley Road Work As suggested in a Delaware Department of Transportation (Del DOT) study, trees and shrubbery blocking traffic visibility were removed. A stump remains to be cut. The study determined that the amount of traffic on Zebley and side roads did not warrant the installation of all-way stop signs.
- School Bus Parked at the Corner at Zebley Frank Lusch left a note on the windshield, and it solved the problem. The bus is no longer parked there.
- Northcrest Entrance Sign Lights Neighborhood electrician, John Ladd, replaced all light fixtures, and they are working well now.
- Northcrest Park Improvements There has been no progress since the last meeting. Water and drainage issues need to be addressed before moving forward with any improvements.
- New Business
- Monument Sign Maintenance Motion submitted and approved to have Henderson Lawn & Landscape Co. maintain ground area surrounding sign the third Thursday of every month.
- 2017- 2018 Officers No nominations were received for new officers. Therefore, current officers were reelected: Frank Lusch, President; Marilyn Letts, Vice President; Al Sordi, Treasurer; and Mary Sordi, Secretary.
- General Open Comments and Concerns
- Poor condition of a house on Chinchilla Drive According to a resident living in the 2700 block of Chinchilla Drive, the home was foreclosed and owned by a bank. Frank was going to follow-up with bank to obtain further information and, if feasible, suggest the bank repair the home, cut grass, remove trash, and list the property for sale.
- Dead tree in Northcrest Park A resident requested that a tree that is dead be cut down by County.
- Sidewalks The desirability of sidewalk installation extending from the new homes being built on Marsh Road, past the Brandywine Little League facility, to Naamans Road was discussed.
